    Polk/Momo 650- opinions wanted

I am considering purchasing 2 Polk/Momo 650s for our wakeboard tower. I would be running 80-100 watts to each of them RMS per mfg. Will I be able to hear them while riding behind our 2002 ski nautique?????

Based on my experience you will not be able to hear them at all while riding. Some guys with quiet I/Os can hear them but I have ridden behind our inboards with a single car door speaker running with similar power, couldn't even tell the stereo was on.

Good tower speakers are big, heavy and expensive. Don't plan on hearing much while riding without dumping $2k+ into a system or a serious amount of DIY time. Been there...

If you are going to go with car speakers you must have at least 4 and alot of power... and dont plan on hearing the music too well either.

If you are looking for the cheapest option... go with either a single NVS 1010 or i have heard that the wetsounds pro-80's are a good entry level HLCD system. Still you are looking at $1200 minimum with an amp... but if you want to really do the HLCD mikeski is right it is atleast 2k.
