New Stereo Headunit for 2006 SV-211?

The screen on my head-unit (Clarion CMD4, Sirius Ready) gave up and was looking to replace/upgrade the head-unit with comparable marine model from Clarion, but without the CD player. Which model would be a good replacement so I still have Sirius, am/fm, and I want Bluetooth capability to link with phone playlist?

Also, will the install be a simple as swapping out the head-unit and re-connecting to existing amps, Sirius antenna, and remote at helm? Or will I most likely need a stereo guy to install, rewire, etc? Stereos are not my expertise.

    Thanks

Two things to be aware of. One, you will need a new SAT receiver. They are not expensive and should be compatible with the existing antenna. and two, the new clarion offerings are not 100% compatible with the older remotes. There is an adapter cable, but you lose LCD and i think, a couple of functions. The CMD8 is the most ideal replacement based on physical specs as it will cover the existing footprint of the CMD4. If your remote is a round LCD, you could upgrade it as well. However, the CMD5 does not have integrated BT, but there are a few solid universal BT's out there that you can add on.

You could go with the CMS5 and just mount the new display in place of the existing remote.
