I have a feeling they will be getting a notice of patent infringement real soon.

          • 2008 Super Air Nautique 230 1997 Ski Nautique

Got my gate built this week, works as advertised! Thank everyone taking the time to build and test and document on here!
We have a 2000 Super Air, 750's in the rear, bow sac 500+, and belly 500+. I rode with just 2 people in the boat, boat evenly weighted, really happy.
Wave is really nice and clean but could use more push and hardness to it, I am 210+ pounds.
Should I add more weight ? Thinking of adding another sac on the floor, and maybe more bow weight to make the pocket longer.
Has anyone been playing around with weight and tuning on the older Super Airs?

Water tested mine today. 1500 in the back and 375 in the belly. Huge wave. Need more push, probably will get there with more weight up front. The wave really cleaned up with a person sitting in the nose. It was only my wife and 2 young boys.

We've been playing around with this on an 04 210 sante, full stock ballast, an 800 on the floor in the back and a 400 in the walkway. The starboard wave is fine like this with just the driver. It order to get the port wave good we still need some people. With an additional 10 in the boat this weekend, the wave was amazing. We just swamped the bow everytime we stopped

Finally got my mission delta in last Friday and tried it over the weekend. It does make a difference in the wake, but didn't fit my 07 SANTE 200 real well. It rooster tails a lot. Needs to be set lower in the water , but can't because of the hull shape. If you can make one I would try it. Just my two cents.

With the home made suck-gate are you guys leaving a small gap between the edge of the plate and the hull? or is the plate right up against the hull? If it's right up against the hull have you noticed any problems with scratching? Got my parts in the mail and going to make mine up tomorrow. I'm leaning toward leaving a small gap between the hull or putting something soft on the edge to prevent scratching. Any input would be great,
                  Shawn

I intended on making mine right up on the hull, as close to flush as possible, but somehow I managed to attach it too low and it wouldn't let the cups suck down on the hull. So I cut a sliver off the bottom of the plate and it now leaves probably 1/8 - 1/4" gap. I can't see it making much difference either way. The biggest issue I've come across is that it ingests water into my bilge sump drains below the rub rail. The bilge pukes almost every time I stop now. I may plug and relocate them.

I cut an 8" piece of garden hose and used three tiny stainless screws to attach it to the bottom of my suck gate. Works incredible and cleans up the wake perfectly.

                        I split the hose too.

I have the thickness of the rubber suction on mine as a gap. You wouldn't ever know it with the wake. Works like a champ.

Got around to adding a tether and quick release cord! I took out the entire old ballast system on my 98" SS and ordered up a ballast system from wakemakers. It's supposed comes in Tuesday, can't wait to try them both out.

I'm having a hard time getting the inner suction cup lever to clamp down. It takes some strong fingers in order to get it to clamp down. Is there an easy mod to make it any easier?

I put a bolt through the lever for the suction cup. Helps give a little leverage to get the lever engaged.
