My new to me SN 196 clarion radio not working, Can someone point me in the right direction. The control pod on the dash lights up, but the head unit in the glove compartment is dead. I cannot locate a fuse to the unit. Assume since the control pod on the dash is getting pwr it should be powering up the head unit but it is not. Trouble shot help please. Thanks.

So, after much to do, I discovered the yellow power wire at the boat harness-to-head unit plug terminates at the other end in a multi wire plug behind the instrument cluster. The mystery is that the yellow wire does not mate to a corresponding wire on the other side of the plug. It is a blank socket. No sign of clue of any other wire in the area that could have powered the head unit. Either the factory installer failed to complete the install or someone removed the wire and left no trace. Baffling.
