    Accessing Open Bow Speakers

I've got a 2002 196 open bow with two speakers in the sides of the playpen pad panel. I want to change the speakers, but can't figure out how to get at them. Does any know how to remove the pad panel around the inside of the playpen. From inside the boat I've removed some screws under the dash side of the playpen that frees up that part of the pad panel, but there's no way I can see to access the side and front of the pad panel. Any suggestions?

Probably Christmas tree fasteners. Can't you take the grilles off and remove the speakers from the front?

I was referred to this thread on CCF which seems to be the answer:

This thread was a great help to me. I have been wondering for one year how to gain access to the factory speakers that are in the Play-Pen of my 2002 Sport Nautique for upgrade.
