Here is my situation. I loose a lot of volume and power when I run my music through the Clarion deck that was factory installed with my boat. currently I am running
ALPINE PDX 4.150 FOR WETSOUNDS PRO 80
APLINE PDX 4.100 FOR WETSOUNDS PRO 60
ALPINE PDX 4.150 FOR INTERIOR SPEAKERS BOSTON PROS
ALPINE PDX 1.1000 FOR SUBS 2X10 W3V2 JL AUDIO
WS420SQ EQUALIZER
CLARION DECK.
Amps were update recently.
When I run the music through the deck aux input and back to the ws420 I loose a ton of volume and power, as opposed to hen I run a direct 3.5 mm jack to the aux input of the ws420. now I suspect it is a voltage issue with the pre-outs on the older clarion deck (XMD3). The part I cant wrap my head around is that the headphone jack of my iPhone has a high output than my stereo. I know this is a simple issue and I could just plug into the ws420, but I really like using the factory volume control on the dash.
Would a simple line driver to correct the suspected voltage issue remedy this issue???
thanks for the help all.
