Has anyone with a FAE used a boat plug light? They seem like a cool and easy way to add underwater lights, but I'm worried my exhaust will block all of the light.

That's a good question... I bet it would block the light, or a good portion anyway

I have both. I'm using the single and it sits just below the FAE on my '03 SANTE. It makes a pretty good glow even in murky Lake Lewsiville, TX. I'm thinking about switching to their three hole plug with a second light to get some more glow to the sides and use the middle hole for a regular drain plug so I don't have to remove it. As for the damage question, if you have hit something at that point of the boat, the prop and rudder have probably already taken most of the damage, so I'm not concerned about that.

Also, just be aware that these will overheat in ambient air so they need to be in the water to turn them on. Consider that when wiring them up. I added a tower Nav light so I used the wire that still runs to the old nav location. I never have my nav lights on out of the water so it reminds me to turn it off.

Thanks for the info... I am going to find a pin out diagram for my 08' SAN and determine the pin for the 12v accessory button and wire the U/W lights to it..... I can't find the wire for it!

does anyone have the roswell nightwater pro's? they have pretty awesome stats, but 1k each is a bit steep to hope they work well.

Don't have any pictures, but lifeform led 9s are super bright for the price. Just installed them this season

I just installed lights from www.liquidlumens.com on my 2016 g23. Im really happy with them. I bought cool white which start out at 10,000 lumens and they use a lens to focus and magnify the beam even more. They get wired directly to that battery using a special box that converts the current from 12v to 34v. Way bright. Remote turn on and off. Install took about 2 hours. I found this code that got me a discount LIQUIDLAUNCH2016 . Pics below

Which model light did you o with? I think I'd prefer the wider angle of the Surfrider light. Just trying to determine which is in your pic. They look good!

I went with the pipeline's in powder-coated white finish. They do an excellent job of lighting up the water at a great distance behind the boat and they still spread light around better than I expected for the tighter beam angle... as you can see in the picture. We tried wakesurfing at night during my last trip to Powell and they light the entire wake up really nicely. Far better than any other light I have seen on my friend's boats.

How long did they stay lit while surfing? Their site says they are not made to run out of water and will trip their overheat circuit if left for too long. Not that I'll really use them for surfing as I don't really do it, but just curious.
