2009 230 subwoofer setup?

I read a lot here about the JL infinite baffle to replace the factory "behind the driver" subwoofer.
These threads are from 2009-2010 and not everyone seems to appreciate the results.

Is there any better solution in 2016?
My sub is generating a rattle in all the right console.
