    2015 G23 help

I have a 2015 G23 that has had some buzz through the speakers as well as a loud pop every one in a while when turning the boat on. I also had some no start issues and strange voltage due to the RCA wires not being properly shielded. I have since taped those and the starting issue has gone away, but loud pops and a constant hiss remains. I understand that this is likely due to poor grounding. What I am wondering is, where do people run their grounds? This picture is from under the observers seat:

Arrow 1 is the head unit, correct? Where is the ground for this and where do you reroute it to? There is no real wiring harness that I can see coming from here, just a thick black wire.

Arrow 2 is a wire that is labeled "wired remote". When the boat wouldn't start, if I unplugged this wire, it would start. Since taping the rcp's, that is no longer necessary, however, when the stereo is on, and you move this wire, there is a TON of static heard in the system.

Arrow 3 is a magical box where the wire labelled "wired remote" comes from. What is this box? How is it grounded?

Arrow 4 is a magical box where the wire labelled "wired remote" goes to. Any idea what this is? Should I add/change grounding here too?

Any help/pictures would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance,

    Yuro

      #1 is the stereo display/interface
#3 looks to be the actually the head unit. Black wire spliced to the boat harness that eventually finds its way to a ground source
$4 looks to be a mini amp driving some or all of the speakers. Same as the head unit probably.

Certainly a good ground is needed for all electronics, but its far from the one size fits all fix. Its actually only have the of the power circuit. Noise in a stereo can come in many forms. Some can be fixed by the same means, while others arent so easy. With all noises, fitst step is figuring out where in the system, are they entering.

Thanks MLA, much appreciated. You are likely right that just a ground probably won't change much. My main reason for trying to improve the wiring here is the fact that wire labelled #2 affected the computer of the boat so much, to the point that the boat wouldn't start. I suspect it was a ground loop that was created here that affected everything else, which is why I am trying to improve things here. Thanks again!

#4 is the multi zone controller. Bow, cocpit, sub, tower controller.
          #3 is the head unit
#2 looks to be the link controller from the display/ or rear remote is installed
#1 is the display unit in the glove box

I have the same issue in my 16. I'm taking all the ground wires amps and all equipment and running a ground straight to the battery.

Thanks Texoma, much appreciated. I actually threw a code this weekend, DTC 2123. Low voltage for a throttle position sensor. It did not affect the boats performance. I will be taking the boat in to the dealer next week to see what they find. Depending on the outcome, I will look deeper into running different grounds. Thanks again!
