What do you do for tunes when you can't stream...?

Hey guys after upgrading my system I just realized when we go camping most of the time we don't have a cell signal so streaming music to the Bluetooth isn't an option. No pandora no Spotify..... Back in the day when Napster was around I had a bunch of MP3's on a player but these days it's all streaming. So what does everyone else do when streaming isn't available.

You can stream on a normal day?!?!?! LUCKY!!! Our lake is not cell friendly. So, Torrents and an old school MP3 player provides my music.

What about using Sirius? Pretty sure my stock 05 SAN deck was even equipped.

If you have spotify (or at least the pay version) then you can have all your playlists downloaded to your phone. I can't recall i believe you can have in excess of three thousand songs downloaded and available offline. I get no reception on our lake and this works great for us. I would love to use pandora too but just not an option due to cell signal.

I use Spotify! Best 9.99 a month ever spent!!! You can choose premade play lists and download them directly to your phone or create you own playlist. You also have the option of downloading the songs in HD so it really sounds incredible. PM if you have any questions> Happy Friday

I have the pay subscription for both pandora and Spotify so I'll probably use the offline mode. I have been looking into the Sirius module also. Does anyone know what tuner module I need for my xmd3? Do I need the sircl1 or the sircl3?

+1 for spotify premium and offline mode. Sirius gets as repetitive as terrestrial radio pretty fast. FYI sign up for one of their 6 month promo deals then take the 10 minutes to call when its about up and ask to cancel and you'll get the next 6 months 50% off or so and rinse/repeat. Very rarely do you have to pay full price for satellite radio.

Another option instead of Spotify would be Apple Music. You play $9 a month and can download all the music on iTunes for offline listening

iTunes on iPod . Collection of about 6 years . And Sirius radio . I noticed the Sirius radio sound isn't near the iTunes quality though

Google Music is another alternative to Spotify... I switched to Google Music because it handles the integration of your own personally owned music and their entire catalog... It's roughly the same price, and you can download your playlists (with mix of your music plus catalog music) or I've event downloaded some of their 'radio' stations for streaming later out on the lake.

We use the family plan on Apple Music. $15 a month for up to 6 devices. You can download any music or playlist as well as create your own. Sound quality is night and day better than Pandora. We also have a Pandora subscription but never use it.
