As a "favor" to help sell the boat (no charge) my dealer installed 2 Rev10's and what I believe is a wetsounds HTX2 amp to drive these (I was not given the amp book so I'm not certain which amp I have, but I'm fairly certain this is it). Looking at the specs for the speakers and the amp, I am thinking this amp is way underpowered to push the Rev 10's like they should be....thoughts? Just thinking about upgrading and changing some things during the off season and this may be the first thing to go.

Because the larger Rev10 is so sensitive, it will do far more with less power versus any other HLCD alternative. However, if you do have an HTX2 running stereo 4-ohms, this is under-powering the Rev10s in respect to their potential. You could add a second HTX2 and bridge one amplifier to each Rev10. 'IF' correctly tuned, and 'IF' you are disciplined in your usage, the extra headroom would be a real bonus. -

For a single pair of Rev10s....
Wetsounds bridged HTX4. Good, but not my first choice.
Wetsounds bridged SYN-DX4. A big upgrade and the value choice IMO.
Wetsounds stereo SD2. About the same continuous power as the bridged SYN-DX4 but with more dynamic headroom.
