Stereo issue 2016 G23

I will try to explain this the best I can and see if anyone has experienced this before. Last night in my driveway a friend wanted to hear the stereo in my boat. Power up and radio came on because that was last thing I had listened to and then proceeded to the link screen and touch the source to change option to Bluetooth so I could link my phone to play some music for him.
There are a series of dots you scroll threw each representing another source (fm,aux,am,Bluetooth, ect.) well they would not change. The dot would move over when you touched the screen, but the source would not change from fm radio. Tryed to reboot. Same result.

Went to the head unit changed to Bluetooth with the buttons. Everything worked fine. Back to touch screen and all worked fine. Don't really know what happened or why it did that. Anyone else?

Yes this has happened to me. Not sure the fix. Seems to be some gremlin in the line between the Linc and the head unit but I'm not sure. Also I notice the the Artist and Song from XM basically doesn't show on the Linc system but the music is still playing. I'm logging it as something to have the dealer look into at the end of the season.

that makes me feel better. thought i was going to have to find a bare wire or something pinched causing the communication problem. i would imagine it is a software issue.

I've had this same issue on our 2016 G23. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Maybe disconnect the battery can fix (temporarily) the problem ? If you just turn off the perko switch (for reboot), it will not "hard" reboot the Linc system.

There have been plenty of people experiencing issues with the Linc system. Visit the Technical/Maintenance section and look for 2016 G23 radio volume stuck..you are not alone!
