Need input/suggestions?

Need some creative minds... I'm not sure where to mount and/or secure my 2nd batt. or relay. You can see where I had the relay last year and the batt. was in the same location as the relay and amps but it was not secured to anything, just sat there and bounced around. I was thinking the cooler box but how would I route the power/gnd cables with minimal exposure. Its for a 93 SN

Two suggestions. Either on top of the hump behind the sub as far forward as possible (it's OK to run blue tops on their sides) or all the way to the front on the deep side, possibly suspended from the deck on a bracket attached to the lifting ring arm. I guess you could also give up the front half of your cooler? I always used a cooler within my cooler anyway.

Not to thread hijack but....Is it ok to run the Interstate battery with a Blue top? Is that your Hobbs meter mounted behind the observer seat?
Will 2 Blue Tops fit in the cooler?

I didn't have a problem with the two different batt... The blue top is for the sound system and is seperated by the relay. Hobbs??? The hour meter is the circular dial, is that what you are talking about? and there is not enough room in the cooler box for two blue tops.

Hobbs, yes hour meter. If you are a skier first I would put the second batt. in the cooler. It will keep the weight centered and that thing is more of an ice melter than a cooler anyway. If you use that ice chest a lot then I like Mikeski's advice.

If the battery will fit in your cooler why not add a wall in the cooler to seperate it from the cooler and make a sedcond battery compartment. You could bend up a piece of aluminum and seal it in place for a seperate wall or fiberglass in a wall if you can get you hands on some. It doesn't look to difficult from the pics posted here. Drill holes in the top wall of the cooler and run your battery cables through to the battery box.
