After 4 days on the water with the reflash things are somewhat better. I say somewhat because I only had to turn the battery power off once to get the stereo functions to respond and it was right away when I started it. The volume was stuck on 34 and it couldn't be adjusted up or down and I actually hadn't even turned any music on yet. I read somewhere in the manual that if you turn the battery power on and punch in the ignition code too fast it can affect functions on certain electronics, so maybe I didn't wait long enough. Other than that I didn't have any issues with volume if my phone was connected via USB, or on FM. Bluetooth is basically unusable and annoying. It's guaranteed to disconnect and you will be sitting there messing around with your phone and Linc between runs while the person in the water is getting annoyed..I don't think I need to say "who" that person is! Same goes with the Pebble watch, super flakey. With the watch I think it is because once you fall out of range then come back into range it doesn't re-connect again. Mine will buzz when the boat gets close but when I look at it the volume is still at 26 or whatever it was at when I fell. Maybe they will release a Surf Select app that is compatible with the later Pebble Watch firmware so we can update our watches as well. Other than those issues above that I already know about, the boat performed flawlessly and the people I had out this weekend who have a MC were amazed at how big the surf wave is on this thing.

I'm totally with you Superbawn....my ONLY gripe with this boat is the glitchy software for the Linc system responding to the head unit. I'm having almost all of the same problems you are having. I haven't had the volume "stick" but ever since I just got the latest updates, I have had problems getting the auto volume to work correctly. And a lot of times when I fire up the boat, if I hit the music "quick button", it'll bring up that pop up which states the volume is set at 30...I can turn the volume up and down and it responds however the number on the screen stays on 30. And when I go to the auto volume screen to see why it doesn't work, it shows both the max and min volume level is set to 30...but when I try to change one level, it changes the other as well. Also, many times when I fire the boat up, the stereo on the linc system says it's on AM radio, but the Polk unit says different, and I can't get the stereo to play anything at all. I try to change the input on the linc screen but it just keeps popping back to AM radio. Like you, I have to completely shut down and reset the boat to get it to work correctly, sometimes multiple times. It's rather annoying. Be sure to constantly report these problems to your dealer...the more people report these probs, the more they make it back to Nautique, the more they'll look into fixing the issue.

2016 G23 - I had same problem with volume pegging at max and could not turn down. I had to shut down, batteries off, etc TWICE before it stopped. Also have bad glitches with ballast system. The ballast system is a VERY poor design and VERY prone to error and false information. Also that awful humming when stereo turned on and one speaker making awful popping/crackling noise. Had to disconnect it's so bad. I love the wave, the switching from side to side, but the ballast system and the numerous glitches get a POOR rating. Will be taking to dealer at end of the season and will report later how that goes. PS - Also engine has shut down for no apparent reason. Twice at cruising speed and once while surfing!! Be careful guys that could be dangerous.

Uh oh...I just did a water test with the 2015 SAN210 I've committed to and experienced two of these issues. 1) I used the FADE on the LINC to put the music only to the tower speakers just to see if it was possible and then...the volume on the LINC was not responsive. However, a quick turn of the volume knob on the polk head unit brought it back again. So basically a minor annoyance that I wrote off but now I'm worried it may get worse. 2) The starboard ballast tank LINC graphic showed that tank lagging by a 1/4 tank compared to the other two while filling so we were thinking maybe the impeller was due for replacement but...visual showed the ballast bag as full as the port one so...?Last edited by Flyindutchman; 09-26-2016, 12:27 PM.

2015 G21 here....Bluetooth never worked well from day one....I just use a cord. Also, volume freezes every once in a while also. Seem to rebound pretty quick with a turn of the knob in the glove box or a Linc shutdown.

Been a nightmare for years with me, both dealer and corporate left scratching their heads, even with videos of things going haywire. Good luck, most recent update done about a month ago, not 100% but seems to be better

We had a similar problem on our 2014 210 and it turned out to be that the battery terminal bolts were not fully secured.

Hi...as per my knowledge the radio can be removed very easily by just prying off the panel that is around the radio. Once that is off there are 4 bolts that hold it in place and also about 10 or so connectors on the back of it. Just remove them one at a time and connect to the replacement unit. So if you can find a used one it is relatively simple to replace it yourself.

Unhook the transom remote ASAP. And watch the rest of your radio problems go away.
transom remotes are susceptible to water intrusion. When that happens... and they remain connected to the head unit.... it throws the rest of the system into craziness.
unhook the transom remote ASAP. Round S-video looking connector within 12”in” of the wire bundle at the back of the head unit.
if it solves your problems... order a new one and replace it.Last edited by nyryan2001; 07-02-2019, 05:03 PM.2019 G23 450

Lots of the same issues on my new to me 2016 G23. Touchscreen shows volume stuck at 25 all of the time. Sometimes volume control responds to the wheel, sometime it doesn't. Until I unhooked the transome remote last week, it was randomly switching audio sources. Currently on LINC Version 20161012.2.9.10324. I've resorted to connecting my phone via bluetooth and controlling the volume from my phone. Pretty disappointed in the stereo setup.
