What is the output of the stock alternators on the 04 SANTE. I have the factory dual batteries, but am interested in the specs. Thanks

Advise. I have the factory dual batteries with switchs and I'm trying to figure out what I will need to do when I add my system. Im adding 3-4 channel amps that are rated at 100x4 RMS and 1 class D mono amp for the subs rated at 700x1 RMS. The 3-4 channel amps will be pushing 6 pairs of the Polk Mono 650's (six in the boat & 6 on the tower) and the mono amp pushing 2-12in Polk db subs. Any advise would be appreciated related to additional compasitors (sp), batteries, etc. ThanksComment

Based on my work in progress boat load calculator your stereo and boat will draw 1200 watts under normal operation, the 70 amp alternator will put out about 950 watts. So, I would say you will kill your battery unless you upgrade your alternator. You can probably push those loads with two amps using a slightly different wiring approach. You may also want to consider using higher efficiency Tripath amps. (note they are only 98% stable so you may get some strange noises 2% of the time). There is a 100A alternator upgrade available from Correct Craft, it should supply 1350 watts.

Well, I suppose the 05s are the best yet. The alternators are 100 amps, the PP works as advertised, and there is no marine FBW beta. Too bad boat manufacturers integrate new technologies before they completely test them and understand the consequences.Comment
