topic search help: G23 WetSounds 420 install

Awhile back I saw an install of a W/S 420 as a part of a larger build.
The installer had made a machined cut out and placed it in lieu of the warning plaque located just forward of the throttle.

By chance, does anyone know where I can find that pic, the owner, installer, etc.? Looking to direct my installer for the same. Thx!

The WS-420SQ with the flush mount plate works well as well as the WS-420BT as it already has the larger face. But the SW with billet flush mount plate is larger, making it easier to eliminate the plaque.

        Appreciate the response.
        2 questions:
        1. Any adversity in trying to use or tune from the side while seated in the drivers seat(as opposed to facing you)?

        2. Did the custom cut, shaped plate not work out and you switched to the WS flush plate?

In that location, its forward, so using it is not real awkward.

No affiliation with the pic you posted. Totally different boat/install.

Is there any coast guard requirement to keep the safety plaque in place?

One might be surprised to learn that many things perceived as USCG requirements, are actually recommendations. Unless the body of water is coastal or crosses state lines, the USCG really has no jurisdiction. In reality, the placard regarding capacity and passenger numbers, is not even required on boats that are like 21 or 22ft and larger. It blew off one off my boat on the way to the lake to test my ballast install

However, the placard in question can be relocated if one wants to.

Since I ski on a river which connects to San Francisco Bay which is connected to the Pacific Ocean, USCG has complete jurisdiction over me. I also go to Lake Tahoe, another USCG governed body of water.
