Single DIN in double DIN space 2003 SAN in glovebox headunit

Anyone have any clue what adapter to use to put a single DIN unit in place of factory double DIN clarion xmd1 that was in glovebox?

Pretty much any car audio shop could set you up with something to work - either a blank or a storage pocket for the extra space

The xmd1 is a single din sleeve so no modification is necessary

As xlair noted, the xmd has a standard 2 x 7 chassis, so technically, nothing typically needed to make it "fit". However, we find that the builder often does not make clean or exact cuts. the hole is often over sized. So the retainer basket supplied with most typical head units, will not fit and hold well in the original rectangle hole. The other hurdle is the cover the XMDs mounting screw holes. To solve both these hurdles, you may need to fabricate filler panel that matches or is larger than the XMDs face and provide a clear 2x7 hole for the basket to secure to.

This is supposed to be a direct replacement http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lfwoDA3...rion-M606.html
supposibly there is an adapter to go from the new player to old remote and I'd get the three zones. Any comments?

The adapter will only allow some remote functions to work, not all. The display is also lost.

The only one I really care about is volume. Will that one work?
