    REV10 wiring in 230 tower

I have a 09 230 with the FCT3 tower. Already has the 4x polk MM 6.5 speakers on the tower.
I'm replacing the 2 top ones with REV10.

I've looked at how the wiring is done on the REV10 and got a question.
How did you manage the wiring to switch from the factory "RCA" connector which are beside the speakers to the "red and black" wires from Wetsounds which are supposed to come inside the bracket?

    Thanks

If I am reading this correctly, you are leaving the lower pods in place. if so, dont bother. Pull them and focus the resources on the new rev-10. Done right, you will never miss those 6.5 pods.

On your 09, I think the upper speaker wires pop out of the tower from the forward hoop and the pods mount to the rear hoop. Maybe like below? If so, you can convert the pods to the traditional style connectors.

That's how my 6.5 are mounted right now. Where did you find these converters for the rev10?

Wet Sounds stocks a kit just for this very reason. So mention this when you order and your authorized wet sounds dealer can include them along with the Rev-10s. Your Wet sounds dealer likely has them on hand as well.

What they call their retro kit?
You still need to cut the rca from Nautique right?

Yes, you can cut the OEM connector off. If there is enough slack, wire the lead directly to the new male connector. If no slack, you will need to solder splice to extend the leads.

Now, this presumes that the cabling is sufficient for the amp wattage you will be running. If the cable needs to be upgraded, then the above is irrelevant, you will be losing the OEM connector end anyway. At that point, you will have plenty of slack to reach the pod.

Just saw the little back door on the REV10, that's where the retro goes. Thanks!

As for the lower pods, they will get out to let more power to the rev10s.
