Dee Did you get all your needed accessories at Best Buy? What bit did you use to drill?

If you have a quick second, could you give me a "what you need" and the process(just the quick steps).

I took Thursday and Friday off.... The plan is doing this project on Thursday, lake on Friday....

I just looked at what dajuicejml did and he and mhayes were kind enough to answer a few questions I had.
        1) Yes , I bought the wires from best buy.
        2) The RCA plugs came from Home Depot. 2 to the package $6.49. You have to cut the plactic off with snips so you can get the retainer screw off. If you use plyers on it, it will cost you another 6.50. (guess how I found out :| )
3)start with your smallest drill bit and work up. You dont want to chip the gell coat by doing too much at a time. Mark where you want to drill w/ pencil and go at it. Just go large enough to slid the rca into.
        4) Slid them on, tighten up, hook wires. The two red wires with the female rca jacks are what you hook to if you have the XMD3, from there to the new plugs ( red to red, black to black) and you are ready to throw the pod to it. No Problem. Any more questions, just ask. Dee

By the way Deuce, I want to go to the lake with you Friday.....I mean how much could a ticket from Dallas to Murray be last minute.

If your just hooking it up for the iPOD why don't you get the RF adpater, no plugs, no drilling?

bobchris, because the sound quality is not that great when using the RF adapter, comparatively speaking.
