Yes, they got the "pop" out as well and the maybe 99% of the hissing white noise I was hearing. Here's a pic of the settings I'm using. I'll try to get a pic of the amp's settings, although I'm not sure where that's located?

heel5man Thanks for the pics of the head unit settings. That is really helpful. The amps are in the large storage space under the glove box where the sub woofer is. The amps are just above the sub woofer. It would be great to see how the settings on the amps are. Looking forward to those pics. Thanks again.

I think I figured what was making the sound horrible. The "Loudness" setting was on. Once I turned it off, the sound improved greatly. But I am not getting as much thump out of the subs. I can live with that so far. But what I did notice was that I can getting a low grade buzz sound, even when engine is not running, from the speakers. Buzz sound does not seem to get louder when I turn up the sound. When the volume is all the way down, you can definitely hear a buzz sound when in Bluetooth mode and even USB mode. Is anyone else getting the low grade buzz sound? Anyone know what is causing it and how to fix it?

I have a 16 G25 and just broke it in and am also getting the buzz, I am asking the dealer to do a tune on the system and hope it goes away....

Thanks for the info. Please post what they came up with because my boat came from your same dealer.

I finally took pics of the amp settings for the stock JL and Polk system on my Boat, which has all of the options. Does anything look weird? What would case the low grade buzzing?

The first photo is the 8channel amp on top, The second photo is of the 8channel below the first one.

Is the buzz only really audible on bluetooth?

Good bass makes up for a lot of other deficiencies. As soon as I got my 230 (off the lot and mine has every stereo option for 2015), I was scheming to get a new system throughout. I started by just replacing the cabin speakers (only because they fell apart) and then installed an amp with two 12" subs. After that, it kinda killed my desire to rip the rest out. I'm sure I'll tinker with it over time, but I definitely don't have any burning desire to chuck it all and start over. Improve the bass first and then decide if further upgrades are worth it. Anyone who orders the full stock stereo and expects anything like an aftermarket system is crazy.
Just curious what kind of subs did you buy and we're they enclosed In a box? I'm looking to instal subs in my boat and am looking for a recommendation.

Hmmm, maybe check to make sure the volume on your iPhone or whatever is turned up at least 3/4 of the way if not all the way. I know this can make a difference on bluetooth but not sure in USB mode. It may be worth a shot.

I certainly have tried it. Even when I turn down the volume on my phone all the way I still get the same amount of buzzing sound. If I turn the volume on my iPhone all the way down or all the way up, it does not make a difference. The buzzing sound is consistent and it is at the same sound level no matter what volume my iPhone his at or what volume the head unit is at. Any other suggestions?

I had 2 Memphis M5's in a sealed box put in with an Arc Audio KS2500.1 amp. They pound super hard, but I think the box could be better. I'm having a hard time figuring out why they won't reproduce some uber low bass notes. I think it's gotta be related to the enclosure. Most people wouldn't notice it. Despite the subs having all that power, nothing changed much until I opened up a huge area in the walk through. You can't put too much bass in there without proper (huge) venting unless you're willing to lift the observer's seat up all the time or put up with a rattle trap of a boat.

Sounds like you're getting the dreaded white noise! I think this has to do with interference from power wires to the signal wires/bluetooth (not 100% sure but it seems I remember reading this somewhere). I had it and there was a known issue that they can fix at the dealership. I think it had to do with installing a larger groundwire? Can't really remember.
