So, like a fat trumpet sticking into the observer's compartment, and exiting the toe kick into the cabin? If so, that's pretty wild! Never heard of that. My subs are currently tight, up against the walk-through wall, facing the port side.

If anyone has ever seen an old 6X9 to 4X10 adapter for a Cutlass or Regal, they get the rough idea. Earmark Car Audio at that time (1980) designed manifolds to load 10" subs into the rear deck 4X10 apertures. Later, Earmark Marine designed manifolds to use two face to face 10" IB subs that loaded into a single right angle 10" vent/grill for some boat applications. The manifold needs to be short in length. The manifold needs to be just enough displacement that it doesn't reduce radiating surface area too abruptly or at a singular point. Also, it's a manifold...linear as possible...trying to avoid being a bandbass filter. The results are awesome. Also manifolds are used in home theater systems with a basement below the listening room.

The only thing I might have added was another 1 under the seat that flips up but it sounded so good I did not want to risk messing it up I drew out what I wanted and had it cut on my friends plasma table it looked stock and was as large as I could go in that spot it went from edge to edge then I just pot that black speaker cover mesh stuff behind it so you could not see in.Last edited by chrisschweda; 02-21-2017, 06:56 PM.

chrisschweda: Do you have a close up pic of the vent you put below the seat? Appreciate the tips! My wife is freakin' out at the thought of me taking a saw to the new boat and cutting a 'giant hole' in it... Picture might help calm her nerves...
Thanks.
