Looking to Upgrade sound system in 2015 G25

Looking for some advice as this community has always provided me in the right direction.

I must upgrade my existing G25 sound system and I thinking of going in one of two directions. 1) Upgrading to the new JL tower speakers and subs from Nautique 2) Installing Wet Sounds from a audio professional in my city. I really like the new look of the JL stuff, it's amazing.

Does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the following items on my current 2015 G25 Nautique ?1) 2017 Swivel racks. 2) 2017 Back bench. 3) 2017 Swim platform. Any information with a guesstimate on pricing would be appreciated. If this stuff is way to expensive, I think I'm going to the Malibu M235 - I'm getting a smoking price on a demo, it just needs to pass the wave test.

Stereo, I'd go wetsounds but between wetsounds and JL it'll be down to personal preference. Either choice will be much better than the 2015 Polk stuff.

For interior, swivel racks will fit, bench will fit but upholstery might not match depending on original color, swim deck will fit too. As for pricing, none of it will be cheap. I wouldn't take an M235 over any G based on fit and finish alone.

I have a close friend with an M235, and I am able to ride his boat or take it out whenever I want. Having said that, I never take his boat out over our G. The G is just that much better.

Two JL 10IB in the OEM locations would certainly be an upgrade over the single polk, but if I was going to spend the money, id do a single 12IB (JL or Wet Sounds) with something in the 600W rms range. Or even a 12" in a custom enclosure or even the Roswell G box. Venting the locker is a must.

I added a JL 12IB under the dash where it comes standard in 2017 studio elite package. It is a lot of work but worth it

Super cool idea! Tons of labor I can imagine.

Out of curiosity, who's the local shop for your audio? I'm in the Ottawa are too. That demo boat at Hurst by chance? Just the trailer itself looks bangin'!

Could you share details on this? I haven't seen the 2017 location but I'd be very interested in having a sub under dash.

Here are some pics of the install:

This is the bow seat back area directly in front of driver. The seat back will pull straight off. It is held in by plastic christmas tree type fasteners.

This is a pic of the Sub installed. Cutting the hole is the most difficult part. First I made a 12" cutout template out of cardboard. I taped it to the area to be cut out and marked the center. I then cut the hole with a rotozip (with circle attachment). The rotozip cuts a perfect size hole when cutting at the maximum length that the circle attachment will extend to.

That install looks awesome. What did you do to vent that area?

Nothing yet. Still undecided whether I will vent it or not. JL audio made nautique cut holes in the side panel to let the bass out starting in 2016 so it sounds decent without a vent. Here's a video explaining it.

The vented coaming pockets/panels help but alone are not near enough venting surface area. They do help lessen the amount of modulation imposed on the coaxial speakers. The most valuable venting would be lower, larger and nearer to the subwoofer.

I will probably vent the port side like I did in my previous boat but don't really want to cut holes on the starboard side as there is not a great place to do so.
