Rear mounted Clarion audio remote with Link system

Anyone added a rear remote to the Clarion CMD7 head unit with the link system? There's only one wired remote output which feeds the link so would you have to splice into that? Different head unit? Options? Thanks

I found a Y adapter made by Clarion but it doesn't list the CMD7.

I added one to my transom but with the 2014 with the Polk.

Should be the same with the Clarion?

its high adventure pulling out a huge 2" hole saw bit and drilling into the transom! Measure 20x and drill a tiny tiny pilot hole first.

i measured 20x and I was still nearly .75" off from where I could have sworn the bit would come through on the inside.

no issues though, that .75" is still within the error of a 2" hole bit.

drill it in reverse, the teeth are plenty sharp, keeps the bit from catching and creating spider cracks in your gel.

You should need the MW1 remote, MWRYCRET Y and MWRXCRET 25ft extension cable.

Has anyone with the 2014/2015 Polk head unit gone reverse and switch to the clarion head unit and will it work with the Link 2.0? just a thought cause the polk head unit is NOT going well in my case.
