    2006 220 speakers?

The stock speakers in our boat are on there way out.The quality and sound is more then sufficient for us.Are the stock polks in these the db651 speakers ive also considered kickers if there any in the same price range.I understand the wetsounds are far better but for what I need it just doesn't make sense to spend that much. Thanks Aaron

In reality, the Kicker KM654CW and the Wet Sounds 65i series are equal in a number of ways, including price. The JL MX650 would also be in this group. The now retired 650 series and current Revo-6 series would certainly be a step up in power handling, output and sound quality. Especially the Revo-6.

Considering the Wet Sounds XS-650 is on sale now for About $165 p/pair, I would seriously consider them, providing availability. One heck of a speaker for a great price.

All of the above models are true marine built speakers and worth a listen. Well constructed and all sound good and perform well. The polk db series are not a marine speaker, regardless of polk advertising.

Sorry, but no way I would position the JL Audio MX650 in a group below any other 6.5" marine coaxial based on sound quality. Maybe if you listen to nothing but synthesized and auto-tuned music you won't appreciate the difference. But if you listen to music with real human voices the accuracy of the JL MX650 is exceptional.

Good thing no one said that that

Cant deny that those 3 are in the same retail price range. Cant deny that they share similar physical properties and power handling. Sound quality, doesnt matter which I think sounds best, go listen and and decide for yourself.

On a serious note, the new Revo-6 has hit a home run. The difference between the old 808 and the new Revo-8 was noticeable. However, the difference between the xs/sw-650 and the Revo-6 was off the hook!
