2001 ssn radio powe and ground and.... remote..

    Probably a simple question...
The radio I pulled had yellow, red and black...
Each time I would go out on the lake, I would have to reset the head unit (aux in, settings, anything)
So.. I am removing it and installing ws-420 and roswell Bluetooth. Amps to all speakers.

But.. what wires should go to what....
If understand... the powers shut off when the toggle is off.

So I should be able to wire one to each unit (yellow and red) (black to both).. and run the delayed remote from the roswell Bluetooth to the 2 amps...

    Does this sound correct?

When swimming... I leave the key pad on, when docked I kill the power (switch put to pump only)
When on lift or trailer switch off, and battery switch to off...)

Most likely the Yellow wire is your constant hot or "clock" wire. It needs to have 12VDC on it all the time to hold the settings. If it's being switched off, that would explain why you're having to reset everything every time you go out. The draw on this is incredibly small. It's not going to kill your battery.

I was thinking that there is no constant hot when the stock switch is moved to OFF or Pump only.

Tape off the yellow and black and run new ones for the EQ and BT. You can use the red for a turn-on

Part of the reason why I am putting these in is because they do not have much draw and they do not have any need for constant power.
