    Clarion Amp Flashing Blue Light

When I bought my SV211 last fall I was told by the owner that the tower speakers didn't work and needed replaced. After doing a little bit of investigating this winter, I noticed the power button on 4-channel amp flashing. I did some research online and went through some the steps to try and pinpoint if the amp is blown or just in safe mode due to bad wires, blown speakers, or a bad ground. However, I haven't been able to find the issue yet. I'm trying to determine the problem before I have to buy a new amp or speakers only to find out the issue is elsewhere.

Anyone else experienced this before and if so, what was the issue?

Do some fault isolation. First thing to do is go to the amp, mark or photograph how the wiring is done and then disconnect all of the speakers. Leave the power and input cables connected. Does the flashing light stop?

If so, start connecting speakers back one at a time. If the light starts flashing, you know were to look. Could be a bad wire or a bad speaker.

Charles - Thanks for the tip. I did try that, but the flashing did not stop.

OK. Do you have the model number for that amp? Need to do some digging and find out what the flashing light means...

          APX280M. And it's a 2-channel, not 4 like I stated in my original post.
