    running cables for zone control

I want to put a zone control knob on my drivers side so I can manually control both the cabin and tower speakers quickly and independently. Is there an easy way to run the orca cables from the amps over to the helm? How about taking apart the helm to add the knob? I'd like to mount it under the dash next to the usb plug, on alternatively above the cupholders next to my knee. Boat is a 2015 230. Thanks

Not sure about running wires, but this is a photo of our roswell zone control and second knob is aftermarket sub control...i know the panel under drivers side is just held with christmas tree type push pins, think tracing wires is not too bad but my stereo shop did it so not sure.....super easy zone control and well worth the $ in my opinion!

So do you just pull down on the upholstered panel to access under the dash? Can the christmas tree connectors be reused, or do they need to be replaced?

I "think" just pull down....can be reused but after multiple times they get worn out

I did the exact same thing! Ran 2 remote wires from my JL HD amps under the floor over to where you did. One for the subs and one for my towers. Awesome way to control the system from the helm!!!! Just waiting for my Nautique sub vent as well.

My sub box/position definitely isn't "pretty" but it performs well in the limited space and delivers the sound I wanted. Granted, I KNOW there are prob 20 ways to do it better and for it to sound/perform better, but for me this works!

So you were able to fish the wires under the walk thru rather than around the bow? Where did you access that area and did it require drillng holes?

Yep. Removed the driver side front seat back (held on with Christmas Tree plugs) which gives you complete access to the area behind steering wheel. Pushed a fish tape through.

This may be a really stupid question, but here it goes. Is that battery connected to the main battery? I am looking to put amps under the observer seat in a SAN 210 and I want to add another battery. I think it would be good to have close to the amps.

This can be an advantage, but then need to consider how far is it going to be from original battery, which the switch will likely end up very close to. if I could place the battery somewhere else thats not going to take up more valuable storage space, thats better.

another questions for you, does the battery switch go at the helm, or does it go back by the batteries?

I would first want to have the switch where my main cables would be either no need to be lengthened, or as short as necessary. Switch location that is convenient is nice, but short runs are better. Any way, there will be some compromise.
