Praise Baby Jesus, The Noise is Gone!

So I have worked for about 6 months to get the white noise/engine noise out of my 2015 SAN 230....and I am proud to say I think we are THERE! Will this work for everyone and every boat (aka a G) I have no idea, but it works for me. Here is my process with photos.

    1) I have shared with several people a factory fix that was released in 2015....that didnt work!

    2) rewired ALL amps to battery bank 2, still had no luck (done at local stereo shop, changed amps and added a 10" sub under passenger) see wiring photo 1.....BUT head unit still wired to ground bar and overall boat +/- on same battery post....but STILL noise was present

    3) after stereo update/upgrade/install I changed overall wiring to battery bank 2.... (see photo 2) grounded head unit to same post as amp grounds. REMOVED boat +/- from screw post and purchased $10 boat add post to wire directly to secondary post.....and tested all today....BOOM no noise!!!

No idea how this will work for others, but seems to be working for me. SUCKS to spend more $ after buying a boat, but well worth it in the end. Sadly, seems like me and others can not get a fix from dealers, so this is a secondary non-dealer route.

Let me know thoughts? I am sire there are other ways but this seemed to help. Also MLA mentioned not forgetting headunit positive, BUT if i wired that directly to battery i would manually have to switch radio on/off independent of boat which I was not interested in (see polk wiring diagram)

Although im not a fan of wiring amps direct to a battery and circumventing the dual battery switch, what you ultimately did was, get the head unit sharing the same battery reference as the amps. Now, there are other and better ways to achieve this and leave the amps wired to the common post of the dual bank switch, which is most ideal.

In the case of the polk head unit that does not have both a constant and switched B+ circuit, there is a way have it "seeing" the same voltage reference as the amps, but not force you to use its power button to shut it off.

This is an interesting fix, I've been looking into kill that his on my 2015 SAN 210 too. I've also recently run into another problem I was hoping you could clarify with your wiring. I have Rev 10's run off of a SYN 4 connected to the Rear Speaker output from the tuner. The factory amp runs the cabins and sub from the Front Speaker output.

I just bought an AS10 and while trying to connect it to the tuner I found I did not have a Sub Out connection. How did you connect your sub?

                Thanks!!

Dont need a sub output, any full range output will do. if no 3rd output, split the front out to the new amp,

Could you please elaborate on one of the better ways

Wire the head unit power harness directly to the power terminals of the largest amp or distribution blocks, if present. With main battery switch off, everything is powered down.
