Wondering what the model of the 2 12" jl subs are so I don't have to take them out to see. To me this system needs some tuning. For what's in this boat it should have a bit more pound to it. Any info on the tuning of the amps would be greatly appreciated.

Far as i know, it is JL's only marine 12.

Its most likely the M12IB6 which is an Infinite baffle sub. fancy way of saying that the speaker is designed to not have an enclosure. you could amp them with max watts RMS and maybe get a little more out of them. but if you want it to bang you need subs with purpose built enclosures behind them.

well since you asked M12IB6 is 4 ohms single voice coil, 200w to 600watts RMS. so get out the volt meter, play a 50 hz test tone and tune the amp gain to put out what ever AC voltage is needed to get to 600watts. i'd then dial it back an 1/8th turn or so to hope you don't blow it
