I had to replace my 5000.5 amp. I simply bought another since it was set up for it. Now I want to tune both amps. I only have one set of the Roswell tower speakers, so I'm not sure what the optimal setup is for that amp. I added the exile dual zone control as well while I had things apart. How about the settings on the 5000.5? I set both amps at hpf, and just turned the frequency dial and gain until it sounded good.. Problem is, it only sounds good at a certain volume. Too loud and its too tinny, too low and it is muffled. Any guidance?

From your description this may not be the correct direction to go but it is adjustable and you can change it back if adjusting the gain does not resolve your issue. The gain will control what the amps are amplifying. In my case, there is a cheap head unit playing music off of an SD card. With the addition of amps and a sub and the gain turned most of the way up the volume was great. However, the head unit was emitting odd electrical tones (I first thought was from the motor and alternator)but the noises were also there with the motor off. With turning the gain down I was able to stop the amps from repeating the odd electrical noises but now the volume is half of what it was, but the sound is quality now. I do not know if this will help in your situation but it is worth a try.
