Aux plug only running one speaker

On my 2011 210, when I plug into the aux beside drivers seat, it only seems to play music thru the one speaker right at drivers feet. Any ideas why? Can I not play thru all speakers (including the tower speakers I am hoping to install this weekend)?

It just has the stock Clarion stereo and my kids really want to be able to play thru their iPhones (easily). The usb plug in glove box is cumbersome to use as music has to be downloaded onto usb key, in folders, etc.

Appreciate any help/advice to get the tunes playing! Thanks.

I had this issue with my 2015. Turned out to be a bad aux cord. Have you tried other cords?

Thanks Mark. Actually this is the second cord and this one is a bluetooth adapter I was hoping would help with the ability to use iPhone directly.

Could be a socket/extension cable that are bad or could just be a male plug that doesnt fit well with the existing female very well. SO try another plain cable.

To eliminate the socket and extension cable, you would have to get behind the head unit and plug a 3.5mm x RCA directly into the head unit and see if all speaker play.

This is assuming that all speakers play when in other modes, correct?

If you find it is the socket/extension cable, consider ditching it for a universal blue tooth plugged directly into the back of the head unit.

Thanks MLA, will try and play around with it this weekend.

I have the stock CMS1 Clarion and had looked at the specs online, and was not sure if there was anywhere else on unit to plug in a 3.5mm.

When I play the radio, all other speakers work fine.

There are zero 3.5mm inputs that unit, however, there are AUX RCA inputs, which is what you are trying to make work, thats being discussed on this thread. Thats all that needed. Now, if there is only one AUX input, then you do have to decide whether you want wireless or retain the wired connection.

Thanks again. Have to admit, I am an accountant, and this "electronic stuff" is way outside my comfort zone. Appreciate the help.
