    Low Profile tower speakers

Anyone know of, or recommend, some lower profile tower speakers for my 98 Air Nautique? I'm not certain if the bose tower speakers currently installed came with our boat or not, but they hang down quite low which prevents us from easily unfolding our bimini. We have to un-screw the bimini support to break it down low enough to unfold the bimini, and then remount it. Its beginning to get quite annoying having to do that every time we take the boat out. I'm about to remove those Bose speakers completely just to have more functional use of the bimini, but would consider putting another kind up there that might not hang down so low if I can find some. Any suggestions appreciated!

    Thanks

The obvious solution is to mount the speakers upside down, but you may find that unattractive, as do I.

I just bought a pair of these and think they're pretty good for what they are. Theyr'e 6x9's which makes them all of 1/2 inch shorter than most speakers.

$500 for the 6x9 Polks and $50 for black. They were recommended to me by mikeski as a low cost option. I think they're very good for the money and ROnnie at audioformz was great to deal with.

i just heard these speakers today from 60 ft out on a sky ski and i heard it nice and clear. they clear the bimini great and they mount really close to the tower too.

I think you are looking at this all wrong... I had the same problem with my speakers and putting a bimini up... My friends at Cobalt boats of Atlanta talked me into a new Bimini (towers bimini)... I no longer have to break my tower down to get my bimini up. I would suggest going this route.
