Sub, tower and main cabin should be fairly straight forward to configure. Might be a little more work to pair the bow and dash speakers, but see no issue getting it done.

i believe you can custom name the zones in m100s from JL.
the zones as far as RCAs go is 4, zone 1, zone 2, zone 3 (which is meant for subs and can be relative) and zone for (which is absolute IIRC).
you could also buy an aftermarket adjustment knob for the bow and install it to attenuate the gain on the front.
anyone have any idea when the "18s G series are going out?
the austin boat show is coming up, one of the first in the country in January. curious to see how many 18s are out already

I wouldn't necessarily argue with you there at all; the question is, will I have the latitude to make this call? Anyone, anyone - - Bueller? I like the ability to control the subs by themselves, and do not wish to give this up...

I'm still blown away that nobody on the forum has done this yet, but I guess it is still early. I'm not doing mine until late Feb/early March, as my boat is winterized in the boat house. Once I put back into commission for next year, I'll put it on a trailer and head to the dealer to get this done (they already have the parts for my conversion).

still haven't seen an '18 in person to verify how they have the JL source unit connected to the linc screen. my thinking is through the remote receptacle on the JL, but it could be NMEA 2k connector too. I think that because i believe all these newer boats come with transom remotes. just my $0.02

This was what Nautique told me last June:
The 2018 stereo will be backwards compatible for the 2016's, but it will not be available until the release of the 2018 model year, then the software will have to be written for the 2017 models, after that the 2016 software will be written. Once that is done we will make the stereo equipment and software available for purchase.
When I asked a follow-up question regarding swapping the Polk unit out, I got this:
It is a little more complicated than that. There are harness replacements and software changes that have to be addressed.
