    Audio advice

I have a 2017 gs20 and love it! It came with a pair of 8.8 JL audio tower speakers with the light down feature, 4 speakers around the main seating area, no speakers up in the front and no sub. It’s sounds good but I want a little more pop. Does any one have any recommendations for adding equipment? If I add a sub do I need an amp? Also if I add 2 more speakers up on the tower. I can’t seem to locate the JL speakers with the light down feature anywhere. I can tell that the tower is already wired for 2 more speakers to be there. Wouldn’t mind having 2 more speakers up front too but it would be either the tower or up front, don’t think I need all 4.

Also am looking to add under led... I believe the nautiques come with Attwood leds. What color would be best in fresh river water in the Colorado?

The JL tower speakers with the lights are going to be available through your Natique dealer as they are an OEM setup, not JL. Other then a minor re-tune of the amp, its mostly a plug-n-play install.

I do not know what amp Nautique offers with the base 4 speaker in-boat setup, so I would suspect an amp for the woofer would be needed. Good new is, this widens your woofer options as you are not bound by an existing amp.

If the main cabin speakers are on a 4 chnl amp, then adding bow speakers is pretty straight forward. However, there is a good chance that the 4 main cabin are powered just by the head unit. If this is the case, Id consider a 5 or 6 chnl amp that would drive the new woofer, along with the main cabin and future bow speakers.

What ever color you want to go with. Red can look orange'ish in some water. Green and blue look pretty good in fairly clean water. White will be brightest. Attwood underwater lights are really price-point offerings, compared to others. Even their light armor series are not all that bright until you get into the 12-LED version. Id consider looking at a couple other options such as the Lumitec Seablaze X or LifeForm 9 series. Great performance to $$$.

Hey thanks for the timely response. This site is awesome! Ya in regards to the lights the dealer wanted to charge me 500 a piece for under water leds but I found the 12 light from attwood for 250 a piece.

If there is any other advice being a new owner to watch out for please let me know....thanks so much for your help!

Almost for sure you're going to need another amp. Then there's the question of who does the work. DIY? Your Nautique dealer? Local stereo shop? They all have their ups and downs. Your dealer is most certainly the most expensive, but then you have "one throat to choke" for warranty issues. A local stereo shop would be next cheapest, but if something fails you may wind up in a finger-pointing argument between them and your dealer. DIY is a possibility if you're good with tools and do some solid research.
