Gs20 tower speakers

I have a Gs20 on order with one set of JL7.7 Tower speakers. I am thinking of adding a second set. If I choose to add a second set does the amp change to run the four speakers or is it the same amp for two speakers?

My previous boat was a 2016 VTX that had no tower speakers, we will prob use them for when surfing.

I’’ll answer 1/2 your question. I ordered a g23 2017 with 2 7.7 JL Audio tower speakers.
I then added 2 more of the same tower speakers. Wiring was already in place in the tower and there was enough amps
to run all 4 tower speakers , 6 crew speakers and one sub woofer just fine. I also ordered 2 manual JL Audio control knobs
to control tower speakers separate from crew speakers

The 2017 G23 does have zone control as an option but I only ordered the Studio Elite package which was the lower priced audio option available .
After I purchased the boat I realized not having zoned control was a huge problem, so from this forum I learned how several other members installed aftermarket manual
zone control knobs . These knobs are actually easier to control while driving vs going through the clumsy LINC display with many different prompts

Can you post a photo of where/how you mounted your zone controls? I've been considering doing the same on my 230...

Charles I ordered 2 of these JL Audio HD-RLC control knobs from Amazon. One knob controls cockpit and bow speakers and the other knob controls the tower speakers. Attached is a picture of where they were mounted by my dealer. The input ports to the amps were already in place so no additional parts needed to install these control knobs.
Eventhough picture has 3 knobs, I only installed 2 knobs; I really like this placement for the knobs. Easy to manage while driving

It was not too bad. My dealer installed the 2 manual zone control knobs shown above at my helm and added 2 more JL Audio tower speakers (4 total on tower) for me and charged me $299.00 for the install. Works great and I love the set up. Much simplier to adjust volume on the fly while driving vs going through clumsy LINC system.

My biggest issue is my boat is parked out on our lake and I dont have a trailer so to get the work done by the local marine stereo shop............I have to get a trailer from someone and deliver the boat to them for them to work on it.

My local nautique dealer performs all my service dockside, so I dont normally have to take my boat from the lake.

Yeah I guess I'm lucky having the Nautique dealer on our lake. I dont own a trailer either

for OP question. When I bought mine it had 2 JL 7.7. I wanted to put 2 more but height issue was bothering me.
My dealer wasn’t in business with WetSound I would love a pair of rev 10’s like my previous boat. But I ended up with 2 Roswell Neptune 8.0
they are really great, more than I expected. Sounds deeper than a pair of 7.7 for my own opinion (for wakeboard).

This is a little off topic, I’m trying to find someone with the factory sub so I know how it sounds (mines not equipped but I plan on adding it)
