My boat is equipped with the JL subwoofer yes. What you want t know?

if it’s worth? For my personal opinion a sub always been a must for me (at least a little one). In a car, home theater, boat. Everything where I listen music the sub is needed.
depends on what type of music you listen. If you like bass or not. It’s very personal.
My first boat (Moomba 2008) haven’t a sub. Since I always been cranking the bass to hear it more it bust up some of my in-boat speakers.
next summer I installed a sub in the port comportement with an amp. and change the 2 little speakers.

If you love the bass it’s a must cause without it you bust your speakers. they aren’t made to let bass boost too much.
if you never boost the bass in your setttings maybe it’s not a need, you can try boost it a little and minus the treb a bit see what it sound like.

I’m with you, I don’t need boom boom boom but I like the fuller sound with a sub... I believe it is just mounted into the panel under the amps. My big question is, if I mimic the factory setup, I’d like to know how full the sound is. If it’s “good enough” or impressive.

Like I said I can’t really give you a perfect answer because I never tried a Nautique without a sub.
mine is a 10inch JL like all other models but it’s mounted just under the driver seat.
not in the comportement like the GS and G.

The only thing I know is plenty of people who have G put a grill somewhere to hear the bass or they simple drive with the locker open lol.
Because in the locker the sound really stay there..
thats why in 2018 Nautique done several holes/grill all around the boat for a better subwoofer performance.

so my guess would be, the upholstery and finish is so impressive on Nautique, I don’t think it’s really worth to put a sub in there the sound just stay there and you barely don’t hear it lol.
thats just my 2 cents tho.

I appreciate the perspective. Anyone else hear a gs sub?
