    Led rings on JL 8.8's

Just wondering if anybody has installed any LED rings on the newer JL 8.8 tower speakers. I've been looking at the ones in the link below which have "no drilling required"...however I know the cans for our tower speakers are made by Nautique and may have a distinct bolt pattern. I'm just curious if anybody has tried these out?! I'm also interested in whether or not anybody has tried replacing the factory white cup holder LEDs with some RGB ones and if so, which ones did you use there as well?!!

And here are some cup holders I was looking at (I would have to double check the sizes to ensure fitment). The LEDs in these do look a little cheaper than the factory LED rings...however, the factory LED rings are quite blinding anyways.

And thought about running it all to one of these from Wetsounds....

These are all just thoughts I've been having of something to do to my ride. I'm just a tinkerer by nature. Nothing I own stays stock for very long as I love to take on little projects.

I have been thinking about the same thing. My concern is how the wiring will work on my 2018 because they are rgb lights throughout the boat. Also if it will work with the linc system? Any ideas?

There are better RGB controllers than wetsounds for far less money than that one.

If you have an 2018, you should be able to tap all the new RGBs to the existing channels of your factory one, if there is one.

If you really are a tinker-er, and know how to use a soldering iron do it yourself... You can find 16 ft of that stuff for less than 2 of those cupholders which would almost do your whole boat

Did you end up doing these? I’m looking at them too. Saw a boat with them the other night and it looked pretty cool. I also want a no-drill option if possible.
