2006 210 sub install under dash - help

So I pulled out the wall under the dash to install my new stargazer system and to get measurements for a sub install. Was wondering if anyone has removed the big fiberglass hump that the original wall attaches to. Was wanting to do this to have more room for the subwoofer enclosure. I tried to search this but didn’t find anything and didn’t really know what to search. Any feedback is appreciated.

There is a thread somewhere on here where people were doing it. I remember seeing pics so I know it can be done. They basically removed the kick plate and took a grinder to the fiberglass then smoothed it out with a sander down to the floor.

Sorry Luke, I know I was gonna get you pics of my amp setup as well months ago but I got busy with work and haven't set aside a day to go over to the boat yet.

But I did this same thing in mine. There should be nothing in there. I just cut it flush to the floor and then glassed in the hole in the floor with the precut kits at Home Depot/Lowes. Made a new kickplate that attaches right to the face of my sub enclosure and slide it out far enough that the new kick plate just covers the patch in the floor where carpet ends. Leaves you with plenty of leg room and I'm 6' / my dad is 6'3.

Sorry this is way overdue but could be a resource for others trying to do this project. Ignore the loose wiring I was doing some work when I took these pics. After I button it up everything is hidden behind the mounting board. If I ever upgrade the sub and amp to something other than second hand will prolly have to get a better ventilation system to it. Also bonus piggyback check valve bow ballast pic:

Thanks for the pictures! I’m actually going to be installing my amps this weekend so you’re actually right on time lol. And did you build the subwoofer enclosure? If so do you have the dimensions you used?

I did, I can't remember the dimensions but I made a rectangular sealed enclosure to get as close to 1.2 cu ft. I think final volume ended up slightly under that. Also mounted it on top of 3/4 blocks of azek scrap I had laying around to keep it off the floor for when people inevitable swamp the bow. Used this calculator: http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm
