I just order this...and am going to see if I can screw it to the PVC ring and if it looks decent...otherwise I will return and go with mesh. Thanks again D

Would you all stick with my same pockets I have and just replace the whole speaker into the same pocket? Or is there something new with speakers that I am not aware of...that I should plan for. Not sure if this makes sense...its early for me. Thanks D
I say ditch everything related to the old speaker, including the round spacer/mount under the vinyl. Trim the foam and prep the vinyl so the speaker sits recessed in to the foam. Heres one that came out looking good.

Wake. BC......OK...I am going to try and move on with your plan. Being that cutting the skins is nerve-racking enough...I am not moving forward until a little more advice and comments to make sure we are on the same page.

1.First Photos: Stern pad.......First one that I already had done....had NO SLEEVE.......had wrapped foam over edge and stapled. first pics

Port Pad: two pockets....1" and a 2" ....both have sleeves into sleeves. Second set of pics

QUESTION: Are you saying...or recommending that I pull the sleeve and wrap the foam over the edge and staple it down like the first one? Then Retro?

Seems like this might work...and worse case scenario it look like the other sleeve could slip back in like the old fit....or close.

Taking a break for the night and will wait until I here from you or others. I was going to PM....but I thought this might be helpful to someone else someday.
            Thanks again for your time.

Find the best fitting speaker for the diameter of the whole, put some meat behind it to screw into and you’ll be golden.

Spoke with Sandra and her husband this am. New owners of C and S Marine....took over for Christine's. There advice is also pull PVC.....worse case scenario, he said we can retro fit the mesh ring in the new hole if need be and stick with the old look.

BTW....they have beyond exceptional with their skins, customer service, and help and pointers! Could not recommend them enough!
