    New head unit input...

96 Super Sport so it has the DIN sized opening with the flip up water cover. Thinking of removing the cover and adding one of the head units with the oversized face (Clarion M608 or maybe Fusion MS-UD650). Question is does anyone have any input on either of these or another head that will work in that traditional old school location? Need 3 zones (cabin, tower and sub) and BT connectivity. Don't care about CDs.

    Thanks in advance.

I just installed a fusion and could not be happier. I use a dash mounted remote and the zone control is quick and easy, the volume knob is actually functional and the control app works just as good.

Are you wanting/needing any other traditional head unit functions like tuner or USB streaming? Is there a need for a transom remote? Another option would be the Wet Sounds WS-420BT or WS-220BT. Blue tooth and hard wire AUX, 3 zone with EQ or 4 zone no EQ. Both offer master volume and talk back MIC(doesnt have to be connected).

I have not used the new M608 yet, so I do not know how user friendly the zone control is. Fusion has always done well with their access to the zone control. Beyond that, I like the new M608.

This is what I'm getting ready to install in my boat.

Yeah I thought about that route as well MLA. I like the 420 but I also know I can add that later. Tuner is not a must but to be honest we do still use it from time to time so leaning more traditional setup.

Yeah I saw that one too. I think the only thing I saw (and I like the color display) was the zone control might be a little old school meaning using the fader to adjust my cabin and tower volumes. Probably not a huge deal but something I noticed (unless I'm reading it wrong).
