    2009 210 speaker balance

Am I crazy, or does the stock clarion head unit in the 2009 210 not have a left/right balance adjustment? the port side speaker seem noticeably louder than the starboard side. There is clearly a front/rear fade setting, but I don't see a balance adjustment

    thoughts?

Not sure about the HU but...

Do you have an amp? I'd check there to see how things are wired.

I'd also try things like switching rca inputs to make sure the issue is before the amp and not after.

seconding above, check amp gain, 2009 likely has the two aft speakers bridged at 2 ohm on one channel of the amp. make sure the purple and green channel and gray and white channels have the same gain setting. Which ever one is higher, turn it down to match the other.

If you 2009 is like a 2012 where everything is in a harness with covers over the speaker inputs, you can figure out which channel is what because a sub woofer would only have two wires. tower speakers typically four. IIRC nautiques sub wire colors are orange(+) and orange with a white or black stripe (-) or at least that is how it was in my old 2007 236.

Unless someone completely rewired the amp incorrectly, gain adjustment would effect front and rear, but not left and right. Blown tweeter or cross-over would make a speaker noticeably quieter then another.

Yeah i don't think this is an amp thing. I will check the amps, but I'm just shocked that there doesnt seem to be a balance setting right on the head unit

Probably not an amp issue but could be a gain issue if channels are bridged.

Switching RCAs will tell you if it's pre amp.

Switching speaker wire will tell you if it's a post amp issue.
