You will need to purchase 2 of these knobs. One to control cabin speakers and one to control tower speakers. Here are the knob placements from another forum member on his G23. In his situation the 3rd knob controlled the sub speaker. Problem if you have 3 knobs is that you only have 2 input ports into your amps for these zone controls. You should be fine if you set up one knob for cabin/bow speakers and one knob for tower, that is how I have mine set up.

Thanks for the info! I turning on Zone control just to be sure, but it was a no-go. I was spoiled with my last boat sine I put in an Exile system with the ZLD II Zone controller. While it would be nice to have that feature again, I have found that the auto volume control has been far better to have and I really have not missed zone control that much. You can adjust the fade to control output between the cabins and tower. A little hokey, but works.

I like the auto volume too but it is nice when we surf to have all cabin speakers faded completely out and tower speakers at around 25-30 volume level. At this level the folks in the boat can still hear the music

GMLIII how did you run your wire from the knobs to the amps? I was thinking under the floor but the more I look at it running under the bow seats would be easiest, as I do not see an easy way to access under the floor in the observation seat area.

Also, what did you do to get the posts to stick out far enough? The fiberglass is too thick to be installed using the method described on the box.

I ran it under the bow seats on my 230. We use them every time we're on the boat.

I dont know. I did not want to drill through my fiberglass dash therefore I paid my dealer to install the knobs, run wires to amps and add an addtional 2 tower speakers. Charged me $300.00 for labor. As Neirbot stated above, I use mine all the time. One of best accessories I added to my boat other than maybe the strapless board racks

Not sure if you tackled this but you can use a dreamer or similar to thin out the backside of where the knob will mount. This will allow for it to stick further out once installed.
