    Tower speaker recommendations wanted

2016 230 with a single pair of Roswell Aquatones. I'm unimpressed, mostly because of the "tinny" sound. Even my wife said they're terrible, and she never comments on that stuff. Our 2008 speakers were much better.

What would folks recommend for a pair of speakers that provide a fuller sound? Looking for good quality, but not top of the price range. Also want to keep it to a single pair because I like the headroom.

    Thanks!

Moving up from a 6.5" to an 8" will make a difference. Unless you are looking for wake range projection, moving from a 6.5" HLCD to an 8" coaxial will make even more of a difference.

Thanks. I've been doing some research and it appears that something like the Wetsounds Icon 8 would work well for us. We primarily surf, so not too concerned about projecting sound to wakeboard distances.

If you can find a local dealer, Bluave makes some 7" wake tower speakers that are very economical and sound fantastic. They don't have the wakeboard boat brand recognition yet but they are really impressive. If you can't find a dealer, PM me.

Fun with numbers Wednesday. Ive seen the specs on those. Their 7" is a 6.5" and their 9" is an 8". Not bashing on the speaker's performance or quality, just stating that their speakers do not have a size (surface area) advantage as claimed. They are using the basket's OD.
