    Another Polk Question

So my Polk HU on my 2017 G23 will not allow Lync to show the volume setting or any such thing on screen. Constantly says volume is at 33 and song is whatever song was the first one I played. I can turn up the volume of course but I can’t see what the actual volume is. No idea what is up with that. Also, the auto/speed volume control is abysmal. So far it hasn’t been a huge issue but I would really like the speed sensitive volume to work at least. This is all in BT mode. I haven’t tried the cable yet (keep forgetting). Ugh.

I can answer part of your questions because i just went though the same issue. For your speed senitive volumn to work set the min level at idle speed and for the max level setting, the boat must have the speed control set at a certain mph for the max level to engage at that speed. You can not set the max level by trying to free hand your throttle to get to a certain mph level. The speed control must be engaged. On my boat I have min level at 6 during idle and max level kicks in at 11.5 MPH which is the speed I surf

Is there a transom remote? Does it function normally? Sounds more like a LINK issue then a head unit. The auto volume is a product of the LINK, not the Polk.

So I found out that my stereo wasn’t set up in the dealer settings to allow zone control. Once that was fixed my volume control seems to be working properly. So that may have fixed my issues. Will report back once I have a few more hours to make sure.
