Wiring a LED Music Controller to speaker rings

    Hi,

I am looking to start a project and thought I would see if it can be done before I move forward. I would like to run the led speaker rings via on-off-on rocker switch. 1st ON would provide power to LED speaker rings and the 2nd ON would power the LED speaker rings through a music controller. The music controller is for RGB but I am just running blue led rings which I would like to wire them to flash independent of each other. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I would use the rocker to switch B+ to the controller, rather then the LEDs. No need for the controller to be powered up, if you are not wanting the LEDs to light. 2nd, many controllers have a wireless remote, that has a power button to turn the controller on and off. As long as the controller is wired to the boat side of the main battery switch, a redundant on/off rocker is not really needed.

In theory, you could turn an RGB controller in to a 3-zone single color controller. However, im not sure you will like the light effects. There are many times that all 3 colors are triggered at the same time with RGB.
