    03-06 SANTE 210 bluetooth

Has anyone ever upgraded there 210 to be Bluetooth capable? I’m thinkin about just bypassing the head unit completely and going Bluetooth only. I’d like to find a unit that fit in the dash mold were the clarion unit is now but don’t know what would fit or if its that simple. ( pic below)

Metra/Install Bay IBR65 or any of the same but different branded units will be close.

I don't know of any small round BT units.

I would just replace the head unit, which is probably in the glove box. All controls can be done on the phone, so there is no need to have the volume at your fingertips.

If there is an Aux port on the current head unit, you can attach that to a bluetooth unit which would work pretty sweet, but I am not sure that most stereos had Aux inputs back then. It would even allow you to continue to use your current remote setup if you like it.

I have this unit for a stereo in my garage, and it works terrific. The stereo does not have bluetooth, but does have an aux port.

Yea, you'll need a new headunit. Just find a good one that has Bluetooth. Might as well also make sure it's Sirius/XM ready as well in case you ever want to go in that direction.

Found this thread about updating the oval faceplate. I believe this newer style faceplate allows for integration with a separate remote if you find the right stereo.

              Fusion bt-100 is another option.

There are 10X better units out there these days, then the fusion BT-100, and at about the same cost. Good unit in its day, but very dated tech wise.

With that said, OP would need a XMD3 or CMD series head with red rear AUX inputs.

I don’t know how good it is, I just stumbled on to this the other day (Clarion GR10BT). https://www.clarion.com/ca/en/produc...0BT/index.html

Maybe someone fluent in audio geek speak can advise.

what if i dont want to us the head unit anymore. and add in something like this (below) and run it straight to the Amp? the lakes we visit have no radio signal so we run off 100% bluetooth.

What do you recommend if replacing a BT-100??

For a universal blue tooth, hard to beat the Wet Sounds BT-UR

I just looked that up on JL-Audio's website. I suppose it would work, but you're giving up a lot of functionality with this. You have no ability to balance/fade. The fade would be the big problem. It's pretty nice to be able to adjust that between the tower and cabin. You also have no tone controls (Bass, Mid, Treble) unless you can change those on your phone.

Personally, I'd get a decent head unit that supports a mounted control and put that in that hole.
