    2009 230 Amp Wire length

I want to upgrade the wiring on my 230. I plan on going with 1/0.

There are some black Friday deals but I'm not sure what length I need. Anybody around that has the answer?

Any recommendations for distribution blocks? I plan to power 2 amps but want to also run the head unit power wire and remote wire.

You’ve probably already made a decision but you need quite a bit for an 09, I would say 25ft to be safe, 20 ft would be cutting it close just wth the run from port battery to amp area. Wet sounds makes some decent distribution blocks. Knukonceptz makes some nice ones too.

I bought 40' of 0 gauge for my 230. Cut it in half and ran both from the port side battery into the amp area for power and ground distribution blocks. Plenty of length.

If you wanted to wire to the battery switch, I would say you would need at least 55' total to snake through the engine bay over to the switch with both wires.

I decided not to buy on black Friday as the discount wasn't worth it if I needed to buy extra cable.

I like the idea of wiring directly to the port battery. How do you manage the two batteries?

I dont. Best practice is to terminate the amp B+ to the main switch, with proper circuit protection just off switch.

To be safe, 15' for ground coming off the port side battery and 25' to go to the switch.
