    Processor VS EQ?

Alright so Im considering a little more to the system this season and think to clean up the sound and get a little warmer sound I may need to use something other than the factory Polk zone control. That said Im looking for some non bias advice from you guys that are not trying to sell me something. Ill start with whats current in the boat. Its started with the most you could get from Nautique in 15 with the level 3 I think its called Polk junk. I still have and use the little tweeters mounted at the windshield but everything else has been changed. I have added the JL in boats that are like out of the 17 models powered by the JL M600/6, 4 of the m880etxv3 towers powered by 2 MHD 600/4 amps, some high dollar Treo 12 and the amp that goes with it. The sub is great and I not really wanting to do anything with it right now except vent the locker it in.
I have a couple ideas which still maybe non sense but want you "Pros" thoughts.

Option 1 would be to just add a WS420 as Ive had them before and Im familiar with it and change some of the in boats to M880s with correct power.
Option 2 add the JL head unit and a WS 420 because I don't think the JL will work with my screen as well as the M880s in boat.
Option 3 add a processor which I have no clue how to operate or tune.
Option 4 Sell the boat and get a newer one with all JL goodies and take my amp and sub. I love my boat but its a first Gen and the spray on windy days is a little irritating but Im not sure its enough to spend the money. Id probably do this but the interest rate has gone up a lot in the last couple years!! Dang!

Just looking for some thoughts on what you guys think I can do to clean it up some.

" as well as the M880s in boat"

Just want to make sure I fully understand whats in the boat. 3 pair of JL 6.5 as well as some 880's?

You want a warmer sound and there are tweeters on the helm? Id start by disabling them and demo the system. I would also revisit the in-boat and woofer amps' tuning. Venting that woofer is a must as well. Test the difference by opening the locker and see if it "warms" up.

Correct it has the 6.5s same as has the newer boats. Thought was to change the ones at helm back to 880s and leave bows as 6.5. I’ve turned the zone control down so that the dash tweeters are on much. Yes the vent is a must and plan on that as I’ve done the open the locker deal. I’m just wanting a little more and a little warmer sound from it. We have had the WS stuff and they were pretty bright and that’s why this boat got JL stuff which is better in that aspect.

And here we are trying to warm up the JL's

So you took out some 880's at the helm and thinking of going back to them? What did you put in place of an 8" speaker? Im even more confused. Party one Wayne!
