    Camera options on SAN 210

Hello all. I’m in process of building my 2019 210 and I need opinions on a couple options. The rear facing camera seems like a decent idea but wondering if people actually use it? I know it’s only $500 but $500 here, $500 there adds up. Plus same question about the GoPro mount. Everyone seems to video using their phone anyway so same dilemma. Does it work well and do people actually use it?

Same question on the transom remote for the stereo. I use my phone to control Pandora, iTunes etc so wondering if it’s necessary.

Not trying to be cheap but $1500 is $1500 if I’m not going to use these options.

I would definitely opt for the awareness camera so you can see your riders in the water behind the boat. Great safety feature. The transom remote also does volume so you dont have to climb back through the boat to adjust volume if you are hanging out on platform and if you have your phone connected to the bluetooth in the boat the transom remote will control the skip forward and back. Most opt for it I think.

Go pro mount is if you want to take high quality surfing videos. That's really dependent on if you use a go pro much or not

I had a awareness camera on my gs20, was really insignificant when you have the upgraded mirror. I always used the mirror over the camera. Especially to see other boats coming up behind you. I ordered a gs22 and didn’t equip it. Transom remote is a must if your sitting and listening to music on the platform a lot. Go pro mount is also useless in my opinion unless you use a GoPro a lot.

I use the awareness camera all the time even with the mirror, helps when picking up the rider after they fall , Go pro mounts i would not spend the money on . Would not do the transom remote either. Invest in either a $50 dollar pebble classic , you can change the tracks and up and down your volume while sitting on your raft. Or the Garmin watch if that ever happens. Just my opinion. You can always add these items later on.

That only works if the boat was optioned with Surf Select, which is a $941 option. The transom remote is only a $465 option. Now obviously Surf Select does a LOT more than just volume/track so the comparison isn't really fair. But we do need to point out that just buying a $50 Pebble alone won't do it.

I don’t see a purpose for the awareness camera on a 210. Guess it keeps you from having to turn your head, but the gunnels are low enough in the 210, unlike the G, that seeing the water behind you is not really a challenge. The transom remote is a must.
