SANTE adding speakers

I recently purchased a 03 SANTE and it does not have bow speakers. I’ve seen some that have bow speakers any recommendations on how to add them to the front?
Also what is everyone upgrading speakers with once the factory black polks need replacing?

The hardest part would be getting the cushion removed. It's quite tight behind the seat to access the nuts holding the cushion to the boat. Once you decide where to mount them on the cushion, you will have to cut a hole in the cushion and behind the cushion for room for the speaker.

Ok. I am just wondering how I should go about keeping it factory look since it doesn’t have the cutouts or anything

When you pull the bow cushion you should see cut outs in the fiberglass that was behind the cushion. That will give you an idea where they go. I think kicker was the factory speakers in 03, sounds like your may have been updated once already.

When i upgraded mine a few years ago i went with Polk MM series, 6.5 inch., MM 651's. Sounds good, i like them. If i was doing it today i would go with the JL Audios, i have put some in a buddies boat and they are a step up from polk. Hard to match.

Ok yea I have a few speaker options in mind. Trying to decide between the wet sounds and the Rockford Fosgate.

I thought Wet Sounds was "Top Dog" in marine audio speakers. Not that anything is wrong with Rockford Fosgate, but is this brand on par with Wet Sounds, better or not so. I don't know just curious.

Yea I have heard them all and it’s hard to tell they have been in different configurations. I believe the tower stuff the wet sounds in superior in projecting out. As far as volume and sound quality I’m not sure.
If anyone has some input I’d like to hear it.

For me the JL Audio & Wet Sounds are the top dogs. The JL's sound sound a little better, more refined to me, but you can't go wrong with either, both are great.
For the tower the JL's sound better, but the Wet Sounds Revs can't be matched for projecting, just amazing, and sound great. If your wanting tower speakers for wakeboarding, the revs are a great choice.
For surfing either will serve you well, though the JL's or the Wet Sounds Icons may be a better choice.
I have the JL 8.8' on my boat, there great for surfing, and with my FAE they sound good wakeboarding. I have a buddy with Icon's and another with Rev's.
I spend all summer going between boats and you Can't go wrong with any of them.

I'm an authorized dealer for both Wet Sounds and JL Audio (and others but that is not part of this discussion).

i would recommend the JL MX line for budget performance. Wet Sounds REVO series is step up from there.

general consensus is JL in boats, Wet sounds for the towers, that is extremely popular here, and i've done it many times.

JL's new M6 line will likely be the bench mark for top quality sounds for the immediate future. Wet Sounds are great and loud, but not as much of a SQ speaker. I also prefer the construction of the JLs slightly better. IF you wanna do lights, M6 is great but pricey, WS can be had for cheaper with RGB lights.

Yeah, I would skip Polk. I've had them for in boat speakers in the past and they don't compare to the Wetsounds I currently have.

The boat has the factory Polk they are different then what would replace that.

So I finally crawled under the bow and found out that there is 2 speakers in the bow of my boat but the seat is not finished for it. I will be replacing the speakers and having a local upholstery shop finish it in some way. Most likely similar to how the factory has it.
